Spots, Zits, Pimples

It was just a normal day, I arose from the bed and trotted off to the bathroom to style my hair. I pulled my fringe to one side and to my shock horror there they were a cluster of them, a little family, a little SPOT family. Now, you're probably wondering what's the emergency, they're just spots, but I've managed to go 22 years on this earth without ever having them, the nearest I've got to spots in the past was chickenpox as a kid.

They weren't even in the stage where they could be popped. I don't know how spots make others feel and I don't means this in an offensive way it's simply my perspective, they made me feel dirty. I can only describe it as a stain in your favourite top which just won't come out no matter how hard you try. I pulled my fringe back to hide them, pulled on a wooly hat and over-sized coat and left the house.

You'd think I was famous trying to avoid being spotted (see what I did there) by the paparazzi. I went to the nearest shop which sold spot treatment, there was only one product on the shelves for spots and it was only £1 so I didn't hold out much hope. As stupid as it sounds, it was as if I expected some Harry Potter cream, just splat it on and the spots would disappear instantly.

My forehead looks like a cheese grater (slight exaggeration there). It's no secret I'm a hypochondriac, I mean the other day I was puking and thought that was the end of me. I found myself searching other blogs for inspiration when I spotted (there's no stopping me today I'm on fire) a Lush review for 'Grease Lightning'. I didn't even know Lush did products for spots.

On their website they state; "Grease Lightning is a powerful combination of ingredients that will nip any breakouts in the bud without upsetting the skin around them. We use an infusion of infusion of antibacterial and antiseptic rosemary, thyme and tea tree, as well as antioxidant-rich grape juice and witch hazel, which is astringent and anti-inflammatory and is said to soothe redness. This product is ideally applied when you feel a spot is about to erupt - prevention is better than cure". Lush has always been good to me and it's a brand you can always rely on, it does exactly what it says on the tub so I can't wait to feel the benefits and most of it BANISH these hideous spots!
